La jeune peintre québécoise Laurie Marois s’est démarquée à travers ses recherches picturales animalières. Réalistes et expressifs, ses animaux de grand formats sont peints rapprochés monochromes et contrastés avec des jets de peinture colorés. Son processus artistique récent a progressé: double exposition, intégration de paysages rappelant la forêt boréale.... Originaire de Normandin, au lac St-Jean, elle s’est vue décerner 13 prix du public et est sérieusement reconnue pour son savoir-faire. Avec une popularité grandissante, elle donne plusieurs conférences dans des écoles québécoises et contribue à plusieurs organismes caritatifs. Son talent connait un succès qui transcende déjà les frontières du Québec.

The Quebec painter Laurie Marois quickly distinguished herself through her pictorial animal research. Realistic and expressive, her large format animals are painted close together in monochrome and contrasted with colored paint jets. She understands her process more and tests it out of her comfort zone. The Normandin-born artist has won 13 public awards and is seriously recognized for her talent. With growing popularity, she gives several conferences in Quebec schools and contributes to several charitable organizations. Her success transcends the borders of Quebec.
