FRANZ VON STUCK
Fils d’un meunier allemand, le peintre Franz von Stuck naît le 23 février 1862 à Tettenweis. Enfant, son talent pour le dessin est démontré et promu. Après l'école d'arts appliqués de Munich, il fréquente l'académie des arts de 1881-1885. En 1889, Stuck présente le tableau "Le gardien du paradis" à l’expo annuelle au Palais de verre de Munich et gagne une médaille d'or. Co-fondateur avec Gustav Klimt de la Sécession de Munich en 1892, Stuck est nommé professeur d'académie en 1895. Il construit son magnifique manoir, selon ses plans, où architecture, ses peintures et ses sculptures forment une unité symbiotique. Il est élevé en 1905 à la noblesse grâce aux peintures comme "Le péché", "La guerre" et ses sculptures, Stuck créé des icônes de l'art dont l'esthétique fascine encore aujourd'hui. Il décède le 30 août 1928 à Munich
Son of a German miller, the painter Franz von Stuck was born in February 23 1862 in Tettenweis. As a child, his talent for drawing was clear. After the School of Applied Arts in Munich, he attended the academy of arts from 1881-1885. In 1889, Stuck presented the painting "The Guardian of Paradise" at the annual exhibition at the Munich Glass Palace and won a gold medal. Co-founder of the Munich Secession with Gustav Klimpt in 1892, Stuck was appointed academy professor in 1895. He designed and built his magnificent manor, where architecture, his paintings and his sculptures formed a symbiotic unit. In 1905, thanks to paintings like "the Sin", "the War", ... and his sculptures, Stuck created icons of art that still fascinate today. He died August 30th 1928 in Munich.
