La jeune peintre allemande Sonja Danowski est née à Iserlohn. Elle a étudié le design à Nuremberg et a terminé avec distinction. Pour son projet de dernière année, elle a reçu le prix « Junior Art Directors Club Germany ». Depuis, elle travaille à Berlin en tant qu'illustratrice, artiste de livres d'images et auteure. Ses dessins détaillés à la plume, à l'encre et à l'aquarelle dans des tons chauds et sourds sont publiés dont, en 2012, simultanément en sept langues différentes, «El Princpio» (le commencement). Elle a remporté de nombreux prix internationaux, tels que le Golden Island Award du Korean Nami Concours en 2013 et 2015 et un Batchelder Award honor en 2016. Sonja Danowski vit et travaille à Berlin.

The young german painter Sonja Danowski was born in Iserlohn. She studied design in Nuremberg and completed her courses with distinction. For her final year project, she received the Art Directors Club Germany Junior Award. Since then she has been working in Berlin as an illustrator, picture book artist and author. Her detailed pen, ink and watercolor illustrations in warm and muted hues are published. In 2012, simultaneously in seven different languages « El Princpio » (the beginning) was published. She has won numerous international awards, such as, in 2013 and 2015, the Golden Island Award from the Korean Nami Concours and in 2016 the Batchelder Award honor. Sonja Danowski lives and works in Berlin.
