Le peintre amazonien Roberd Sixto Saurin Pua est originaire de Barranca, dans la province de Datem del Marañón, partie de la province de la Haute Amazonie. Il est de Yurimaguas. Sixto peint un tableau sur une corde connue sous le nom de “ lllanchama “ transformée en une sorte de toile, un matériau qu'il a découvert. Son plus récent tableau représente une hallucination de la purge de l'ayahuasca, comme une démonstration de la coutume curative traditionnelle des Amazoniens, et dont la plante a été déclarée patrimoine culturel de la Nation. Le tableau est exposé au Musée des plantes sacrées et des rituels du Pérou, qui rouvrira ses portes en novembre. Saurín est un expert reconnu de la réalité amazonienne et expose ses tableaux dans des festivals internationaux qui s’engage à proposer des solutions qui permettent la survie, le développement national et durable de la forêt amazonienne.

The painter Roberd Sixto Saurin Pua is originally from Barranca, in the province of Datem del Marañón, part of the province of the Upper Amazon. He is from Yurimaguas. Sixto paints a picture on a rope known as “lllanchama” transformed into a kind of canvas, a material he discovered. His most recent painting represents a hallucination of the purging of ayahuasca, as a demonstration of the traditional healing custom of the Amazonians, and whose plant has been declared cultural heritage of the Nation. The painting is on display at the Museum of Sacred Plants and Rituals of Peru, which will open in November. Saurín is a recognized expert on Amazonian reality and exhibits his paintings at international festivals who are committed to providing solutions that allow the survival, national and sustainable development of the Amazon rainforest.
